My mission in life is to inspire leaders to believe and act in the power of belonging, inclusion, equity and diversity. I am the Chief of Diversity and Inclusion for a global organization with over 88,000 employees. I am a storyteller at heart with the intent of bridging the gap between the heart and the mind.

Award winning D&I Thought Leader with over a decade of experience at the Department of Defense, the Department of Interior and the Department of Homeland Security. TEDx speaker, Author of the e-book “Hispanics 101: How to Recruit, Manage and Grow your Hispanic Workforce” and have been featured in the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, and Telemundo. Led keynotes and workshops at the Change Management Conference, the Human Capital Institute, the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Talent Management and D&I Conferences, NGA and Deloitte Chief Human Capital Officers Summit, Hacking HR Forum, Fortune 500 companies, and other global organizations.

I am passionate about finding superb human capital, then give them the right tools to unleash their super powers for the benefit of the organization and the community. During the last 10 years I have been leading Talent Management programs and  initiatives for organizations with over 800,000 employees in over 6,000 locations across 147 countries. I have designed and coordinated award-winning initiatives to optimize the representation of underserved/underrepresented groups and executed leadership programs designed to develop the next generation of innovative leaders with the technical competencies to meet the future leadership needs.  

In 2015, I presented to the world my TEDx talk "How to Become a Change-Maker in Today's World." I help organizations seize the untapped potential of their workforce. Through trainings, consulting and executive roundtables, I offer the unique perspective of a bilingual Hispanic Millennial with vast experience in the Federal, private and non-profit sectors. My colleagues call me “Charisma on Steroids” and a “Powerhouse of Energy.” As a result of the initiatives I have executed in the community I won the HR Leadership Award of Greater Washington, DC for Excellence in Mentoring.  

I am the former President of Young Government Leaders (YGL), a 10,000 members non-profit with the mission to educate, inspire, and transform the current and future leaders of local, state and federal government. I provided the vision for over 20 chapters and manage a team of three Executive Vice-Presidents with over 20 Directors and Chiefs.  YGL exists as a platform for young leaders to help each other and work together to be heard as a unified voice representing their interests. By helping its members be successful and by bringing them together in a community, YGL hopes to be a force multiplier for all the good work being done by young leaders across the government to forge public service paths for the 21st Century.
